VC Hosts Iftar for Staff, Students and Host Communities
The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Transportation, Daura, Hon. Prof. Umar Adam Katsayal, mni has organized and hosted an Iftar for members of staff, students and host communities.
The Iftar took place on Thursday, 28th March, 2024 which was equivalent to the 18th Day of Ramadan, 1445 AH at the University’s Cafeteria, permanent site.
Addressing students after the Iftar, the Vice-Chancellor congratulated them for being among the lucky 500 admitted pioneer students of the University and wished them a happy and successful stay in the University.
He also congratulated them for finishing their mid-semester, praying to God Almighty to take them to their various destinations safely.
“We deliberately organized this Iftar so that we can all come together, see one another and together pray to God Almighty to restrengthen the already existing bond between us.
“We should not forget to include our country in our prayers for God’s intervention especially in the area of insecurity bedeviling our country”, the VC pleaded.
He informed the students that before they resume from their mid-semester break, the problem of water and electricity shortage would be completely eliminated.
He further stated that the University would be organizing a social day for them on Saturdays of every end of the month for them to get refreshed and be psychologically and socially ready to learn.
“You should know that you are my topmost priority as students because without you, we wouldn’t have been here”, the VC said.
