FUTD PARTICIPATES IN INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE POPULARIZATION ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION IN CHINA
The Federal University of Transportation, Daura has participated in the International Science Popularization Roundtable Discussion in China.
The University was represented by its Vice-Chancellor, Hon. Prof. Umar Adam Katsayal, mni.
The event was part of a two-week seminar on Science and Technology Talent Training for Developing countries organized by Zhejiang Normal University, Jinhua Province, People’s Republic of China.
It saw the participation of 11 developing countries and leaders from 7 Chinese academic associations.
In his address during the closing ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Transportation, Daura, Hon. Prof. Umar Adam Katsayal, mni who spoke on behalf of other participants thanked the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China for extending the country’s hands of friendship to the developing countries of the world.
He then thanked the hosts of the Seminar; the College of Physics and Electronic Information Engineering in particular, and the Zhejiang Normal University at large for providing the entire participants with all the necessary supports to participate in the seminar.
He expressed optimism that the participants were leaving China better informed and would apply the knowledge acquired from the lectures presented by experts in different fields to the development of their places of work in particular and the country in general.
He reiterated the need for partnership and collaboration between the participants and relevant agencies in the People’s Republic of China.
He commended members of the organizing committee and thanked them most sincerely for their patience, sincerity and passion exhibited from beginning to the end of the seminar.
“Your kindness, your patience, your time, and your excellent organization made us feel secured and live comfortably as if we were at our homes. Such behaviors and attitudes are worthy of emulation”, he said.
He then wished all participants safe and journey mercies back to their various destinations.
